Happy 24th Birthday, New Coke...

I never had New Coke so I can't comment on it, but if what they say is true and it was made to be more like Pepsi, I might would actually prefer it to regular Coca-Cola-- But I despise change so.............................................

As I recall, I actually discovered the word "aftertaste" with the advent of New Coke. I know they said that about tasting like Pepsi but it didn't to me. Pepsi was sweeter. New Coke had a cardboardy kind of taste. That was the real problem. It tasted SO different you wondered why they even called it Coke!

I found a mom and pop store with about 20 two liters of the OLD coke left and bought them, figuring I'd have save them for special occasions and sell to the highest bidder when I needed money!

Some months later I realized that apparently air slowly slips into two liters no matter how tight the seal as they all started going flat!! I pigged out on 'em while I could and by then they were already bringing back the Coca Cola Classic which--don't let 'em fool ya--doesn't REALLY taste like the original Coke either but it's okay!

You'll be happy to know in honor of your post I'm having a Classic Coke right now. Wait a minute! I gave UP Cokes last month!! Damn you!!
