PATRICK STAR FACES DEPORTATION FOR FONDLING

Now that he's finished a 28-day jail sentence for fondling women on the Ocean City, Maryland boardwalk, a Patrick Star impersonator probably will be deported to his native Ukraine, the Salisbury Daily Times reported early Friday. Andrii Mokrishchev, 21, was released September 18 to the custody of United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement after completing his sentence this month, according to an Ocean City police spokesman. Mokrishchev was arrested in August on charges that he fondled four women -- a 9-year-old, two teens and a 32-year-old -- while costumed as SpongeBob SquarePants' best buddy. The women were posing for pictures with Mokrishchev, who was licensed by the town of Ocean City to work as a street performer on the Boardwalk. The Ukrainian national struck a plea bargain with prosecutors. He pleaded guilty to one charge; assault and other charges against him were dropped.
