Yeah, Garry was the drummer (I think) and the band was going nowhere until someone thought about riding the family name and had him pose as the lead singer and changed the band's name to Garry Lewis and the Playboys, making them an instant success-- the real lead singer did the recordings but Garry practiced enough to be able to pull off the live shows himself...
Not sure what to say here (isn't that an original way to start). I'm an enigma of sorts-- young with an old soul, passionate yet apathetic, intelligent but unfocused, obsessive yet lazy, confident but unsure, quiet yet loquacious, talented but with no ambition, troubled yet grounded... I'm a lesbian and a geek, a goddess and a wallflower. I can't say I'm a nice person, but I'm not all that bad either... I'm just me

Yes, it's a little known fact that before he became an assassin, Oswald fronted a band called "Lee Harvey and the Conspirators"
I happen to believe that Oswald only did the stage show but someone else actually did his singing for him on the albums (a la Garry Lewis)...
I heard it was more than one person who covered for Oswald...but that's never been proven.
Is that true about Garry Lewis? Does Jerry know his son was the Milli Vanilli of the 60's?
